Bisma Gulzar
MSW Student Therapist
Hi, I’m Bisma. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and am currently completing my Master of Social Work at the University of Windsor. I have over seven years of experience providing counselling and psychotherapy across hospital, university, and private practice settings.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from different backgrounds and walks of life, supporting them through relationship and family concerns, emotional challenges, difficult past experiences, and major life changes. I bring warmth, compassion, and curiosity to this work, along with a genuine belief in each person’s ability to grow, heal, and create meaningful change in their life.
My Approach to Therapy
My approach is person centred, collaborative, and empowering. I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to meet you where you are, understand what has shaped you, and help you discover what moving forward can look like for you.
There is no one size fits all approach to therapy, so I draw from different approaches based on who you are and what you need, including:
Person Centred Therapy
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Psychodynamic and relational approaches
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Solution Focused Therapy
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
