Mousumi Saha

Registered Psychotherapist

Hi, I’m Mousumi. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (with a Master of Science and a Master of Philosophy in Counselling Psychology.

My path to this work has been shaped by both my professional training and my lived experience as someone deeply connected to South Asian culture and the immigrant experience. I bring that understanding into the therapy room as a central part of how I show up with my clients.

I work with people who are navigating some of life's most difficult chapters — whether that is trauma, anxiety, family conflict, or the quiet but heavy weight of not quite feeling like yourself.

My Approach to Therapy

I am an eclectic therapist, trained across a range of therapeutic modalities and approaches. Rather than following one single model, I tailor the work entirely to you and your needs, your story, and what feels most useful at any given point in our work together. My practice is grounded in a trauma-informed and neurodivergence-affirming lens, which shapes not just the techniques I use but how I show up in the room. The approaches I draw from most include:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Gestalt Therapy

  • Adlerian Therapy

  • Existential Therapy

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Inner Child Work

Who I Work With

  • Individuals and Families

  • Teens 13+ and young adults

  • In person/virtual

Areas of Focus

  • Trauma

  • Borderline Personality Disorder

  • South Asian communities

  • Immigrant and newcomer experiences

  • Intergenerational patterns

  • ADHD and neurodivergence
